Just a couple hours ago, Annie Mac played out the newest (and highly anticipated) single from England’s Jakwob. If you missed the premiere don’t fret, James Jacob keeps the vibes flowing by uploading the single and release details. After a number of memorable releases over the past couple of years (most notably The Prize), Jakwob has found a home at Shy FX’s label Digital Soundboy. As his first Digital Soundboy release, the young artist is getting the remix treatment from a couple of the label’s finest artists. Dismantle and Shy FX will take the reigns on a remix while Paul Woolford’s Special Request will also take a stab at the mix. And then of course later this year we will be sure to hear a Jakwob VIP. The track sounds a bit like the “new” house or UK garage sound that Disclosure has pioneered over the past year or so and feels a bit unoriginal, but the vocals are where the light shines. Tiffani Juno’s delicate voice really makes the track what it is, so I’m looking forward to hearing the remixes and especially the VIP. The track is due for a March 30th release and you can pre-order the track now via Itunes.
